PHAEDRA                16.3hh                Bay                DOB: 20.06.1997

Phaedra is a talented nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare bred by Holland Heritage Horse Ranch, Inc.  She is by Idocus out of an imported Ahorn mare.  She has been trained and ridden by Julie McGee-Harkness.  Phaedra was started as a three year old, then bred for a 2001 foal, Udoll.  Since foaling, she returned to work and is now showing Third Level.  Phaedra is very intelligent and she is soft and light to ride.  She is a talented dressage horse, but also has enormous value as a broodmare.  She has super bloodlines (see below) and her 2001 foal, Udoll, is proof of her great value as a producer.  Phaedra is registered with the KWPN and is in the FB Book.  At her approvals as a foal, Phaedra was one of the Top Ten foals of the U.S. for that approval year.

At her first horse show EVER June 1-2, 2002 at Great Southwest Equestrian Center, Phaedra received a score of 70.000% for Training Level Test 4!!  Phaedra took it all in stride and looked like an old pro!  Phaedra then received a score of 68.8% at Training Level Test 4 at Windy Knoll Farms' Summer Dressage Show on July 21, 2002.  She stepped off the trailer, into the ring, and won the class!  Julie and Phaedra qualified for the 2002 ABIC Region 9 Training Level Championships after Phaedra's first two shows ever!

At the 2002 ABIC Region 9 Championships, Phaedra scored 61.8% for Training Level Open Championship!

Julie was unable to show Phaedra for a while because she was busy building her own barn and relocating the horses to her new place ... but now they're back!

At the Texas Dressage Classic II on April 18, 2004, Phaedra earned 4th place with a 62+% at First Level Test Four Open at her first show in over a year!

Phaedra is currently schooling Third Level and has started consecutive changes and piaffe/passage.  She earned a qualifying score at Third Level Open in May 2006 in Dallas.
