Top Line Training Farm, run by Julie McGee-Harkness, is based out of Cypress, Texas, just outside of Houston. Julie, a classically trained rider and instructor, has many years of experience as both a trainer and rider.

Background: Born 11/03/69 in Houston, Texas. Married with two children.
Julie has over twenty years of riding experience. As a junior rider, Julie competed in the Jumper divisions at shows all over the country and won three Grand Prix championships. Since her junior years, Julie has focused solely on dressage. She spent time in Europe, training with and working for world-class riders and instructors. Back in the United States, Julie worked closely with Paula Kierkegaard. She continues her relationship with Paula today, flying her in for clinics on a regular basis. Julie herself has successfully competed through Intermediare on the East Coast, as well as in Florida, Colorado and Texas.
Julie specializes in providing classical training for both horse and rider at all levels. Julie is an effective teacher for students from age seven to seventy, and her students have successfully competed from Green as Grass to Intermediare. She has instructed several winning horse and rider combinations at various levels at the SWDC and ABIC Championships for many years. Julie is an honest, methodical and supportive instructor who strives to create harmonious horse and rider teams. She instills classical methods and principles in her students and helps each horse happily perform to the best of its abilities.
Top Line Training Farm offers classical training for both horse and rider. Top Line has a select group of warmblood foals and dressage horses for sale representing Holsteiner, Hanoverian and Dutch bloodlines.
A view of Top Line's
newly constructed covered arena - houses a standard full-size dressage arena with
overhang on all sides, kickboards the full perimeter, and a wall of full-length
mirrors along the far short-side.
Front and side views of the barn.
The roomy, airy barn includes 5 12x12 stalls, 1 oversized foaling stall, wash
rack/grooming area, plus an air-conditioned tack room. The 16-foot aisle
and airy construction keeps the barn cool in the summer, and it stays warm in
the winter.
Horses are turned out daily as much as
possible - each paddock has several trees for shade. The horses are always
in sight of the arena, barn, and the house.
